Counting Days
greetings stamped labeled posted
phone calls fielded and wished away
viewing movies love’s lost and found
eggnog too thick too sweet too good
phone calls fielded and wished away
telepathic contact raises silent ghosts
eggnog too thick too sweet too good
empty chocolate wrappers fill the void
telepathic contact raises silent ghosts
hoping to dance as flames on a candle
empty chocolate wrappers fill the void
remembering the gray days of desperation
hoping to dance as flames on a candle
musical memories of pastime parties
remembering the gray days of desperation
pain concealed just below the dermis
musical memories of pastime parties
played behind solitude’s closed doors
pain concealed just below the dermis
greeting snowflakes with my cheek

Hmmmm, this calls for more readings, even after three times.
I like it and always am amazed at your pantoums. The first line seems like it wants to be in the middle somehow, ha, doesn’t greet me easily, a bit off putting.
But “hoping to dance like flames on a candle” “greeting snowflakes” with your cheek and “telepathic contact raises silent ghosts”—-awesome words in fabulous sequences!
